Growing students abilities one strength at a time!

Hello! 

 

The students call me Ms. Dawn.  I am one of the special education teachers here at Delta Elementary School.  Most days I love my job.  I thoroughly enjoy getting all my students, discovering their strengths and developing them.  We work hard and set high standards for our students and celebrate successes no matter how small.  

I have been in Delta for 20+ years and in Alaska for 30 years.  I grew up in Montana and graduated from Eastern Montana College with a degrees in Special Education K-12 and Elementary K-8.  I also serve as our District's Special Education Coordinator.  I have two grown children of my own and a granddaughter.  I have also been a foster parent.
